Editing

“Capturing the Friedmans,” which Hankin co-produced and edited, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.  For his work on the film, Hankin was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Editing.  The film was nominated for both an Academy Award and an American Cinema Editor’s Award.

Other editing credits include “Home Front;” “Burning the Future: Coal in America;” “Show Business;” HBO’s Peabody Award-winning “Cancer: Evolution to Revolution;” “Dance Cuba: Dreams of Flight;”  “New York: A Documentary Film,” which received an Emmy nomination; and the acclaimed Ken Burns film “The West.”
